Last week the little man and I got back into our habit of visiting the library on Mondays (and picking up coupons from the Sunday paper-teehee) I spotted a gem in The Book Shop, our library’s shorter term loan, newer book section. The Repurposed Library: 33 Craft Projects That Give Old Books New Life by Lisa Occhipinti is full of beautiful illustrations by Lisa, photography by Thayer Allyson Gowdy and how-to’s for upcycling all those old books you have laying (lying?) around. The instructions are easy to follow and the ideas are tremendous. A few other images are shown on the STC Craft Website. Other projects include Book Tattoos, Narrative Vases, Book Bursts, A Three-Book Chandelier, a Kindle Keeper, and much more. Go pick up a copy or support your local library!
