Ets(y) Wednesday: Nest Pretty Things

According to Craft Cult, this week’s Ets(y) Wednesday shop has been featured on Etsy’s Front Page Treasury Lists 79 times! They have also been featured in Etsy Finds Decor: The Comforts of Home.  Nest Pretty Things creates such incredibly beautiful, soft, and delicate pieces~right down to their packaging!  I had such a difficult time choosing only a few items to feature.  If you check out the Nested Pretty Things shop you’ll understand why.  Also, don’t forget to check out Nest Pretty Things blog and Nest Pretty Things Kids.

I had the opportunity to ask Tamar, the shop’s owner, just a few (of my sometimes quirky) questions:

1. What are the (4) tools you can’t live without when you are creating/working?
First of all I need my music, it helps me concentrate and creates a mood, a good source of light – one that comes from above my work table and one above my shoulder, a great big window to look out of, a good cup of coffee, we just got an espresso maker and I’m in heaven….

2. What is your favorite thing about living in the Vermont country side (she moved there from the City)?I get up in morning to a deep sense of calm and quiet, the views and nature all around us is like living in a postcard and everyday chores become so easy! a trip to post office used to take 25 minutes in heavy traffic, now it takes 10 minutes and a short drive through rolling hills…

3. Do you have a favorite piece out of everything you have created?
Sadly no. (It’s okay, I get it~sometimes the things you create are like your children! 🙂

4. What was your first job?
My first real job was working at “Laura Ashley” while going to Parsons in NYC, this was in the 80’s…looong time ago.
